Candy Land & Crafts

I got this idea from Jackie McCobb's blog http://www.busylittlepeople.blogspot.com/
Thanks Jackie!

 Need:
- paper plates
- tissue paper
- glue stick
- markers/crayons/paint
- string

Cut paper plate in half, decorate, glue backs together with tissue paper
strips in between, punch hole in top, tie string through, and hang up.

Since the little old lady that used to own our house loved hanging plants all over her house we have these handy ceiling hangers to hang our art from. Thanks Mrs. Canada!

Then we made a flower!

We didn't have any construction paper so we used white paper and colored our hands. In my opinion they turned out even better, more colorful, and original.

I guess the mulitiple colored petals are a little far fetched and kind of make it not look like a flower, but it is a beautiful Dixie original and we had fun. That is all that matters!

  1. Yummo, who doesn't like pizza? Not I. No wonder Dixie likes coming to your house. It's a fun place to be. I need to start taking photos of the art work I see in the schools for you, there might be something you'd like to use. I like the big colorful flower.
